You’ve probably noticed the immense amount of focus that has been put on Baby Boomers this past year.  Well, the first wave of them will reach retirement in 2011.  Which means more than 3 million of them will turn 65 this coming year – the most ever to become eligible for Social Security at one time.  Seniors & Baby Boomers are nothing new to the Sarasota-Bradenton area.  In fact, Blake Medical Center has been focused on caring for this demographic for over 35 years.  Our doctors & nurses are highly experienced in caring for these folks.  In addition, our H2U program (formerly Senior Friends) has been catering to our seniors since 1995.  This grass roots program covers all the basics: aerobics, games, and relationships within the community.  It is really a great resource for our seniors in the Sarasota-Bradenton area.
